A house in the Canarian tradition
Santa Maria Luxury Rooms stands on Calle Garachico in Betancuria, inside the rural park that protects the oldest mountains of the island.
The house follows the building tradition of the island: walls of natural stone and white lime, a terracotta roof, and balconies, beams and furniture in dark wood. Inside, the five rooms are quiet and modern, with acoustic insulation, air conditioning and central heating for the cool mountain evenings.
Every room opens onto its own terrace or balcony with a table and two chairs, and parking is included.

Betancuria
Founded in 1404 by the Norman knight Jean de Béthencourt, Betancuria was the capital of Fuerteventura for more than four hundred years.
Today it is a quiet village of white houses and palm trees in a green valley between the oldest mountains of the island, far from the resorts of the coast. Walks start at the door, and the west coast at Ajuy is about half an hour away by car.
When the day visitors have left, the valley goes quiet.
